ビヨンセのニュー・アルバム『Cowboy Carter』の発売日であったこの日
なんとビヨンセは東京にいました。
まずその時点で日本人としては最高のサプライズですよね。
プライベートジェット機が和歌山県に到着したとSNSでは盛り上がっており、夫であるJAY-Zの写真がアップされており東京のクラブで撮られた動画が出回っていました。
しかし、ビヨンセの姿はなくという状況で迎えた
彼女のニューアルバム発売日 3月29日 日本時間11:00 AM にこんな投稿が。。。。。

まず信じられません。嘘だと思った人も多くいたでしょう。
いやー、先月アメリカのスーパーボウルでパフォーマンスした歌手がサイン会を開くことにビビりました。
サイン会のウェブサイトをチェックすると注意事項も多く記載されており、CDも限定盤を購入を1枚購入すれば先着150名にサイン会に参加できるということ。 事前に入念に準備されていたサプライズだと確信。
そしてサイン会の日時は当日の13:00PM !!
徹夜組がサイン会の券のために並ぶのを防ぐためでしょう。サイン会の発表もタワレコ渋谷店の開店時間11:00 開催まで2時間で始まるという、もう嵐のようなイベントとなりましたね。
さて、私はというと3月29日の11時半ごろ、痔の問題があったので都内の肛門科に行っていました。
受付を済ませ、椅子に座りどれくらい診察までに時間がかかるかなーと思いながらスマートフォンでSNSをチェックしているとこのビヨンセのサイン会の情報を見つけました。
いやほんと焦りました。13時にイベントを開始ということでもう1時間半もなく始まる。。。 こんな経験初めてです。
私は午後へ診察の時間をずらしてもらい、急いで電車に乗りイベント会場である渋谷へ向かいました。
時間にしてだいたい11時50分ごろです。そこから約40分経った12時半ごろタワーレコード渋谷店に到着。
SNSで12:05付でサイン会の参加券配布終了という投稿を見ていたので、残念でありましたがせめて限定盤のCDが欲しかったので現地に行きました。
渋谷駅を降りてタワーレコードの方へ歩いていると、私の前にいた4人ほどかな。駆け足で向かう方を見かけました。
おそらく私と同じくタワーレコードの行くのかなと思い、服装を見るとスーツを着た方もいたので、いやーもうみんないろんなやり方で何とか必死にタワレコへ向かっていました。 その気持ちわかります。
まずビヨンセと対面できる機会は無いに等しいですから。今回の出来事はニューヨークでもなくロンドンでもなく東京です。 世界の中で東京を選んでくれたわけですから、日本人としては嬉しいですね。
アメリカの時間だとこの時はまだ3月28日の夜中ですから、12時間経ったらビヨンセが東京でサイン会を開いた事実に圧倒されていると思います。
タワーレコード渋谷店に着くと、サイン会参加券の配布は終了という看板を持ったスタッフがお店の前に立っていました。
私はお店の中へ入り、CDだけでも買いたいとスタッフに伝え限定盤のCDを購入。
これはビヨンセのオフィシャルサイトでのみ販売するCDだそうです。日本で買うなら通販で海外から取り寄せをする必要があり、その場合は送料も必要ですからそう思えばタワーレコード渋谷店で買えるのはとても素晴らしいことでした。
CD購入後、周りを見渡すとビヨンセの新作発売記念特設コーナーが作られていました。
その横ではもうサイン券はないのか色々と店員さんに質問しているお客さんがいる状況。先着なので仕方ないですが、今回は本当に特大なサプライズでしたね。。。
SNSを見ると東京住みは羨ましいというファンの投稿を多く見かけました。
確かに東京でしかないイベントにそういう気持ちになりますよね。
今回については私も実際に現場へ行った身として意見を述べさせてもらうと、
・渋谷区にいたか、その近辺にいた人
・11時台にサイン会の情報をゲットしていた人
・さらにサイン会参加券が無くなった12時までにはタワーレコード渋谷店に行けた人
上記の条件をクリアできた人がビヨンセのサイン会に参加できたという結果だと思っています。
少し詳しく解説してみると、
渋谷区にいた人か、もしくはその付近にいた人か。
これは運というかその辺りにいた人が参加しやすいという感じですね。これについれは当てはまる人も多いと思います。今回は本当に時間がないイベントであったため、渋谷から遠い人は参加券をゲットするのは難しいものでした。
さて、次ですね。 11時台にビヨンセのサイン会開催の情報をゲットした人。これは結構難しいです。というのも仕事していれば、まずSNSチェックしないですから。そして11時台にというのも肝。
休憩時間にスマートフォンをチェックすることは多いと思いますが、一般的な休憩時間は12時からが多いですからね〜。
さて、最後はかなり難関な問題です。上記の２つをクリアした上で、その場からすぐにタワーレコード渋谷へ向かえるか。私がこれまで経験した職場だとまず無理でした。体調不良で病院に行きますって行っても後々めんどくさいことになりそうですし。。。
私はたまたま病院に本当に用があって病院にいて、上記の三つの条件で言うと11時台にSNSでサイン会の情報をゲットしていましたし、その場からすぐにタワーレコード渋谷に行けました。なので2つの条件はクリアしていました。
ただ渋谷まで距離があり現場に着くのに40分かかりました。
もし私が渋谷かその付近にいたら参加券をもらうのに間に合ったかなと感じています。
なので、個人的な意見ですが上記の三つをクリアした者がビヨンセのサイン会に参加できた結果となったと思います。
例外でたまたま別の用事で11時台にタワーレコード渋谷店にいた人は苦労なくCDを買いサイン会に参加できますね。笑
私はCD購入後、リニューアルしたタワーレコードの洋楽が売っている階をチェック。サイン会のイベントが始まる13時ごろにはお店の周りにファンがたくさん増えるのではないかと予想して上の階から外を見ると案の定、私がタワーレコードに来た時よりも人が増えていました。
外を出るとさっきまで雨降っていた空は、すっかり晴れていました。そしてビヨンセのトラックが渋谷を走っていました。しっかり撮らせてもらいました。今日はいい日となりました！
今は、今日買ったニューアルバムCowboy Carterを聴きながらこのブログを書いています。
発売前、次に出るアルバムはカントリーアルバムじゃないと主張していたビヨンセ。うん、聞いてみると確かに違いますね。カントリーの曲調もありますが、アルバムを通していろんな曲調の歌を楽しめます。ビートルズのカバーはびっくりしましたが、ビヨンセの声に合ってましたよ！
今日の出来事は私にとってとても刺激のある日となりました。サイン会に参加できませんでしたが、最高のワクワクを体験できました。ビヨンセの来日公演はもう15年近く開催されてないそうです。
ぜひコンサートを日本でも見たいですね。

March 29, 2024 – It was a hell of a day.
Beyonce was in Tokyo on the day of the release of her new album, “Cowboy Carter.
First of all, it was the best surprise for a Japanese person at that point.
There was a lot of excitement on social networking sites that a private jet had arrived in Wakayama Prefecture, photos of her husband JAY-Z were uploaded and a video taken at a club in Tokyo was circulating.
However, Beyonce was nowhere to be seen, and on March 29, the day of her new album release, at 11:00 AM Japan time, the following post was made,,,,,

First of all, I can’t believe it. Many of you probably thought it was a lie.
Well, I was scared that a singer who performed at the Super Bowl in the US last month would hold an autograph session.
Checking out the website for the autograph session, there are many notes, and if one purchases a limited edition CD, the first 150 people to arrive will be able to attend the autograph session. I was convinced that this was a surprise that had been carefully prepared in advance.
The autograph session was scheduled for 1:00PM on the day of the event.
This was probably to prevent all-nighters from lining up for the autograph session tickets. The announcement of the autograph session also started at 11:00AM, the opening time of the TOWERECO Shibuya store. It was already a stormy event, starting within 2 hours of the event.
Well, as for me, at around 11:30 on March 29, I was at a proctologist in Tokyo because I had a hemorrhoid problem.
After checking in, I sat in the chair and wondered how long it would take to see the doctor, and as I was checking social networking sites on my smartphone, I found this information about Beyonce’s autograph session.
I was really impatient, the event was scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. and it was going to start in less than an hour and a half. I had never experienced such a thing before.
I asked my doctor to move my appointment to the afternoon and took the train to Shibuya, the venue of the event.
It was about 11:50 in the afternoon. About 40 minutes later, I arrived at the Tower Records Shibuya store around 12:30.
I had seen a post on SNS saying that the distribution of tickets for the autograph session would end at 12:05 p.m. I was disappointed, but I wanted to at least get a limited edition CD, so I went to the store.
I got off at Shibuya station and was walking toward Tower Records when I saw about 4 people in front of me. I saw people running towards it.
I thought they were probably going to Tower Records like me, and when I looked at their clothes, I saw that some of them were wearing suits, so, well, everyone was already heading to Tower Records in various ways, somehow desperately. I understand that feeling.
I understand that feeling, because it is almost impossible to get a chance to meet Beyoncé. This time it was not in New York or London, but in Tokyo. As a Japanese, I am happy that she chose Tokyo out of all the places in the world.
In American time, it is still midnight on March 28 at this time, so 12 hours later, I would be overwhelmed by the fact that Beyonce held an autograph session in Tokyo.
When I arrived at the Tower Records Shibuya store, there was a staff member standing in front of the store holding a sign that said that tickets for the autograph session were no longer being given out.
I went inside the store and told the staff that I just wanted to buy a CD and bought a limited edition CD.
I was told that these CDs are only sold on Beyonce’s official website. If I wanted to buy it in Japan, I would have to order it from overseas via mail order, which would require shipping costs.
After purchasing the CD, I looked around and saw that a special corner had been set up to commemorate the release of Beyonce’s new album.
Beside it, there were customers who were asking various questions to the clerk if there were any more autograph tickets. It was a first-come, first-served basis, but it was really an oversized surprise this time.
Looking at social networking service, I saw many fans posting that they envied those who live in Tokyo.
It is true that people feel that way about events that can only be held in Tokyo.
I would like to express my opinion on this event as someone who actually went to the event,
I was in or near Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
Those who got the information about the autograph session at 11:00 a.m.
Those who were able to get to the Tower Records Shibuya store by 12:00, when the tickets for the autograph session ran out.
I believe the result is that those who were able to clear the above conditions were able to attend Beyonce’s autograph session.
Let me explain in a little more detail,
Those who were in or near Shibuya Ward.
I think this is more a matter of luck, and people who were in the area were more likely to participate. I think this is true for many people. This time, it was really a time sensitive event, so it was difficult for those who were far from Shibuya to get a ticket.
Now, next. Those who got the information about Beyonce’s autograph session at 11:00am. This is quite difficult. If you are working, you don’t check social networking sites. And the fact that it was at 11:00 a.m. is also important.
I think many people check their smartphones during their break time, but the general break time is usually from 12:00 p.m.~.
Now, the last problem is quite a difficult one. After clearing the above two questions, can you head to Tower Records Shibuya immediately from the spot? In the workplaces I have experienced so far, it was first of all impossible. I was sick and had to go to the hospital, but it would have been a hassle later on.
I happened to be at the hospital because I really needed to go to the hospital, and in terms of the above three conditions, I had gotten the information about the signing event on SNS at 11:00 a.m., and I was able to go to Tower Records Shibuya right then and there. So I had fulfilled the two conditions.
But it was a long way to Shibuya and it took me 40 minutes to get there.
I feel that if I had been in or near Shibuya, I would have made it in time to get the ticket.
So, in my opinion, those who cleared the above three conditions were able to attend Beyonce’s autograph session.
Except for those who happened to be at the Tower Records Shibuya store at 11:00 a.m. for other business, you could buy a CD and attend the autograph session without any difficulty. LOL!
After purchasing the CDs, I checked out the floor of the renewed Tower Records where Western music is sold. I looked outside from the upper floor expecting that there would be many more fans around the store around 1:00 p.m. when the autograph session event was about to start, and sure enough, there were more people than when I came to Tower Records.
When I went outside, the sky, which had been raining earlier, was completely clear. And Beyonce’s truck was driving through Shibuya. I took a good picture of it. Today was a good day!
I am writing this blog while listening to Cowboy Carter, the new album I bought today.
Before its release, Beyonce claimed that her next album would not be a country album. Well, after listening to it, it is indeed different. There are some country tunes, but throughout the album, you can enjoy songs of various tunes. The Beatles cover was a surprise, but it suited Beyonce’s voice!
Today’s event was a very inspiring day for me. I could not attend the autograph session, But!
it was the most exciting experience. Beyonce hasn’t held a concert in Japan for almost 15 years now.
I would love to see her concert in Japan.
