13年ぶりとなるSUM41の札幌公演に行ってきました！！これまで何度も日本ツアーを行ってきたSUM41ですが今回が解散に伴いラストツアーとなり、久々の札幌公演を実現してくれました！

まだ雪の残る札幌にSUM41がやってきた！日本に来る前まではアジアーツアーで中国や韓国を回っていたSUM41は勢いそのままに日本へ上陸。日本ツアー最初の一公演目は北海道札幌市となりました。
開場時間の頃には雪が降り寒さも増しという最中、ZEEP SAPPOROへ向かいました。
到着後グッズをチェックするとオープニングアクトのであるイギリスのバンドNECK DEEPのサイン色紙を発見。CDを買うともらえるということで購入。
その後、ライブ開始まで2Fでじっくり待機。ライブ始まる前は写真のようにまだ人もいなかったですが、NECK DEEPが始まる頃にはかなり人が埋まりました。
ライブ開始までBGMでPAPA ROACHやTHE OFFSPRINGなど流れると合唱が起きていました。
おお、札幌も熱いな！
NECK DEEPの演奏もまとまっていて、さすがSUM41のライブに帯同するだけの実力があるのとライブ慣れしてますね。暴れるお客さんも出てきたのでいい演奏していましたね。

さてお次はSUM41のライブです。
あ、そうそう。私はグッズでSUM41のポスターを買いました。それでXのコメントで私も知ったのですがどうやらこのポスターに本来あるべきの福岡公演日の記載が抜けていたそうです。
ライブが始まる前のメンバー登場前に流れるBGMはAC/DC!! 13年前に同じ!!
ライブがスタートするとみんなで一斉にジャンプし盛り上がり一体感がありました。私も２階席からずっとジャンプしていました。
SUM41の細かいライブレポートは他サイトにもあるのでここでは割愛します。
個人的には札幌でStill Waiting聴けたってのは大きな感動を得ました。というのも13年前の札幌公演ではデリックの体調不良で聴けなかったので消化不良という気持ちが強かったからです。その時はライブ再開まで暇すぎて座って待っていましたのを思い出しました。結局待てなくて帰りました。
ライブに行って気づいたのですが、バラードも最高ですね。いい曲書くなぁ。改めてライブっていいなて思いました。ライブ後に音源を聴いて復習していると気持ちがいいですもん。
あ、あとアンコール2回目のSo long goodbyeにも感動したなぁ。
札幌で海外アーティストのライブが見れるのは貴重。
そんでもってオープニングアクトもNECK DEEPだったので大満足です。
I attended SUM41’s concert in Sapporo for the first time in 13 years!
SUM41, who has toured Japan many times before, made this tour their last due to their breakup, and they made it possible to perform in Sapporo again after a long time!
SUM41 arrived in Sapporo, where snow still lingered! Before coming to Japan, SUM41 toured China and South Korea on their Asian tour and landed in Japan with their momentum.
The first performance of their Japan tour was in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
As the opening time approached and amidst the snowfall and increasing cold, I headed to ZEEP SAPPORO.
Upon arrival, I checked out the merchandise and found a signed stuff of the opening act, the British band NECK DEEP. It was given away with the purchase of a CD, so I bought one.
Then, I waited patiently on the 2nd floor until the concert started. When NECK DEEP started playing, the venue was quite crowded, unlike before when it was empty, as shown in the photo.
Before the concert started, there was a chorus of singing along to the BGM, which included songs by PAPA ROACH and THE OFFSPRING.
Oh, Sapporo is also getting excited!
NECK DEEP’s performance was well-coordinated, and they showed their skill and experience in accompanying SUM41’s live performance. Some enthusiastic audience members started to rock out, and NECK DEEP delivered a great performance.
After the concert, NECK DEEP posted about their performance in Sapporo on X. Next up was SUM41’s live performance.
Oh, by the way, I bought a SUM41 poster as merchandise. I found out from comments on X that the poster was missing the Fukuoka concert date that should have been there.
The BGM before the band members appeared was AC/DC!! Just like 13 years ago!
When the concert started, everyone jumped up together, and there was a sense of unity and excitement. I also jumped continuously from the second floor.

Personally, hearing “Still Waiting” in Sapporo was a big emotional moment for me because I couldn’t hear it 13 years ago at the Sapporo concert due to Derrick’s poor health, which left me feeling unsatisfied. I remember sitting and waiting too long for the live performance to resume at that time. In the end, I couldn’t wait and went home.
I realized at the concert that their ballads are also amazing. They write such good songs. It made me appreciate live performances once again. It feels good to listen to their recorded music after the concert as a review.
Oh, and I was also moved by the second encore, “So Long Goodbye.”
It’s rare to see a live performance by an overseas artist in Sapporo. And since NECK DEEP was the opening act, I was very satisfied！
13 years ago, I was sitting here waiting for the concert to resume.
