ガンズアンドローゼズのギターリストスラッシュのライブに行ってきました。2016年にスラッシュがガンズアンドローゼズのライブに戻るまではスラッシュのソロ公演でもガンズアンドローゼズの曲を期待していた方も多いでしょう。
しかし、今はもう完全にスラッシュのライブはガンズアンドローゼズの曲がなくても十分に楽しめますね。

スラッシュはオーストラリア公演を終えて日本へ到着。ファンがSNSで情報を共有していました。
Gibson Lounge Tokyoで2月にSLASHのイベントがありました。
会場には、各種ギブソン・エピフォンからリリースされたスラッシュのシグネチャーモデルの展示の他、今回特別に未発売の次期シグネチャーモデルGibson Slash “Jessica（ジェシカ）” Les Paul Standardの限定公開。
その他会場では、昨年ギブソン・パブリッシングから発売されたスラッシュのギターコレクションを掲載した書籍『The Collection : Slash, Standard Edition』の国内限定発売をはじめ、書籍内の撮りおろし写真の展示、3月来日公演のチケット販売（来日公演ポスター付き）、そして来場者全員に「ギブソン x スラッシュ特製ギターピック」の無料配布。

私もこのイベントに参加しました。ギターピックをもらったので大切に保管しました。
東京の来日公演前にGibson Lounge TokyoでSLASHはYoutubeのイベントに参加。
スラッシュのコンサート前からイベントがあり楽しかったです。
さて、
スラッシュのライブ開催までの間、グッズをチェックすると海外と異なる点を見つけました。それはサインです。日本公演はスラッシュのサイン入りレコードがないのです。ラテンアメリカやヨーロッパ、オーストラリア、そして日本公演後にあったフィリピンや台湾ではサイン入りのレコードが売っていました。
出待ちファンへのサインをするファンサービスもヨーロッパではあったのですが、少なくとも日本はありませんでした。
Xを見ると大阪から東京までの新幹線移動の際にファンがSLASHに接触を試みますが、サインはもらえていない動画がXの当アカウントのTLにも流れてきました。
残念！
彼女のMeeganも日本含めたアジアツアーには帯同なし。彼女がいればもっと日本公演でもサイン入りグッズを売ってくれたのかなと勝手に妄想しています。
さてライブはオープニングアクトのMELT4からライブがスタート！
きっちりメタルを演奏。この「きっちり」という言い方がうまく説明が難しいのだが、とにかく私が求めていたメタルなサウンドとそこの絡み合う高らかな声が良かった。
MCでSLASHが楽屋に訪問してくれた話をしていたが、Xでも写真を公開。

スラッシュのライブですが、私も過去に4回以上スラッシュのライブに行っているので、安心してじっくりライブを後ろで鑑賞。とんでもなくギターをスラッシュは弾くのは分かっていましたが、改めて生で見ると凄まじいですね。
各地のツアーでもあれだけ弾くのですから、やっぱりミュージシャンの中のミュージシャンです。レイチャールズやマイケルジャクソンなどたくさんの有名な方とセッションもした経験もあり、そして今でも日々ギターと向き合って弾きまくっているスラッシュ。最高です。詳しいライブレポートは他のサイトで書いている方を参考にしてください。とにかくスラッシュのギタープレイに圧倒されました。。。
I went to the live performance of Slash, the guitarist of Guns N’ Roses. Until Slash returned to Guns N’ Roses’ live performances in 2016, many fans were expecting Guns N’ Roses songs even at Slash’s solo concerts.

Slash arrived in Japan after finishing the Australian tour. Fans were sharing information on social media.
In February, there was an event for SLASH at the Gibson Lounge Tokyo.
At the venue, various Gibson and Epiphone signature models of Slash were displayed, along with a special limited preview of the upcoming signature model Gibson Slash “Jessica” Les Paul Standard, which has not been released yet.
Other highlights of the event included the domestic limited release of the book “The Collection: Slash, Standard Edition,” featuring Slash’s guitar collection released by Gibson Publishing last year. The book showcased exclusive photographs and also featured ticket sales for the March Japan tour (with a tour poster included), as well as complimentary distribution of “Gibson x Slash Special Guitar Picks” for all attendees.

I also attended this event and carefully preserved the guitar pick I received.
Before the Tokyo tour, SLASH participated in a YouTube event at Gibson Lounge Tokyo.
It was enjoyable to have events before Slash’s concert.
Now,
During the period leading up to Slash’s live performance, I noticed a difference in merchandise compared to overseas. That difference was in the autographs. In the Japan performances, there were no records signed by Slash. In Latin America, Europe, Australia, and after the Japan performances in the Philippines and Taiwan, signed records were being sold.
While there were fan services like signing sessions for waiting fans in Europe, at least there weren’t any in Japan.
There were attempts by fans to approach SLASH for autographs during Shinkansen (bullet train) rides from Osaka to Tokyo, but videos showed that autographs were not obtained, as seen on X’s TL.
It’s disappointing!
Meegan, his girlfriend, did not accompany him on the Asia tour, including Japan. I wonder if they would have sold signed merchandise at the Japan performances if she had been there.
Now, the live performance started with the opening act, MELT4! They were talking about SLASH’s visit to the dressing room, and X even posted photos.
It’s a great photo. It’s inspiring to see them fulfilling their dreams!
As for Slash’s live performance, since I’ve been to Slash’s live concerts four times or more in the past, I felt at ease and watched the live concert carefully from the back. I already knew that Slash played the guitar incredibly, but seeing it live again was simply amazing.
Considering how he performs extensively on tours around the world, he truly is a musician’s musician. He has experience collaborating with many famous individuals like Ray Charles and Michael Jackson, and even now, he dedicates himself to playing the guitar every day. It’s incredible.
